Polly N. Phillippi
Polly N. Phillippi is one of the founding partners of the firm Kantrowitz & Phillippi, LLC. Ms. Phillippi has been a litigator for more than thirty years. She concentrates her practice in the areas of premises liability, breach of warranty, product liability, personal injury defense, toxic tort, and employment litigation. She represents national corporations and other business entities in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She has successfully won hundreds of arbitrations in both state and federal court. She has also successfully tried numerous jury trials for Fortune 500 and other major corporations and hospitals. Ms. Phillippi successfully argued before the Delaware Supreme Court resulting in a favorable decision for automobile manufacturers under the Delaware lemon law.
For ten years, Ms. Phillippi has been named by New Jersey Super Lawyers magazine as one of the top attorneys in New Jersey for General Litigation and Personal Injury Defense. Only five percent of the lawyers in the state are named by Super Lawyers. Ms. Phillippi is also AV Preeminent rated by MartindaleHubbell, an honor accorded to less than five percent of lawyers.
Ms. Phillippi is a graduate of Gettysburg College with a B.A. in Political Science. She also earned a Masters of Public Administration with highest honors and with a concentration in personnel from Temple University. She worked as a personnel officer for the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts while attending law school at night. She received the Barrister award for trial advocacy.
After her graduation from law school, she served as a law clerk with the Honorable Richard J. Klein. Judge Klein’s caseload consisted of complex product liability cases, medical malpractice cases, commercial litigation matters, employment discrimination cases and other complex civil litigation. In addition, he was the supervising judge of the toxic-tort litigation program. After completing her assignment as law clerk, she was a partner with two law firms in Philadelphia.
Ms. Phillippi is admitted to practice in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for New Jersey and the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Pennsylvania. She resides in Meadowbrook, Pennsylvania, with her husband and son.
